My Favorite Cranberry Sauce

Ack! Thanksgiving is coming up so soon! Do you plan your menu way in advance? Do you do the cooking? Or do you get to go to someone else's house?

Well, we are always involved in cooking, no matter where we are. Although I don't get into the main dishes (turkey, stuffing, etc.), I do help out with other dishes and desert. So, I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite, EASY, Thanksgiving recipes. I make this every year.

I apologize because I don't have exact measurements or quanities, I always just guess.

Cranberry Mandarin Sauce

Whole Berry Sauce (you can make it fresh, or use the canned kind... I use canned because I'm lazy and the consistency works well)

Canned Mandarin oranges (one can per can of cranberry sauce)

Cried Craisins (the cherry flavored ones) - chopped

Pecans - chopped

Orange marmalade (the sweet kind, not the bitter kind)

Mix it all up in the amounts that look good to you. That's it! Easy peasy!

I love this stuff. I always eat a ton of it. But I figure it's better than eating a ton of potatoes. Only, I eat a ton of those too. Oh well, it only comes once a year.

That does sound good. I bet you could use cooked fresh cranberries too....I'll have to try it. Thanks.

I do all the cooking, but it's not bad because I do it the Semi-Homemade way! The cranberry recipe looks yummy, but I'll have to make mine without nuts or daughter would have a fit. Her favorite part of Thanksgiving is the cranberries..so nuts would ruin it in her opinion. Maybe I can make 2 batches, one with nuts and one without.

Sounds great and really similar to ours that we make. We use a bag of fresh cranberries, a whole orange (rind and all), and 1 heaping cup of sugar. Put it is the blender and it is FABULOUS! I am sending your recipe over to my mom. I think we should try it this year.

Thanks for the recipe. Perhaps I will try this instead of opening the can and slicing it on a plate :)

The cranberry sauce looks wonderful. I have it easy this year. I'm just bring a crock pot full of whole kernel corn loaded with real butter. My mil was really sweet to be being that I haven't been feeling very well.

Awesome recipe! I usually am asked to bring some sort of baked goods or my garlic mashed potatoes. I haven't tried cranberries yet, but they look good :)

Yummy recipe! I'll be at my inlaws this year for Thanksgiving so I'm not sure I'll have an opportunity to use it. But I'm saving it, for sure. I love everything and anything cranberry!!
