Decoupage Poe Pumpkin {from the archives}

Here's a repeat of one of my favorite Halloween projects...

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered (well, actually decoupaged) weak and weary... No really, I was working on this one at midnight last night. Now, I'm not actually a big Edgar Allen Poe fan, BUT, I think the Raven is very cool... and very Halloweenish. So I decided to make a Poe Pumpkin.

I printed the entire poem, alternating fonts for each verse (or is it a stanza?). I used about 6 or 7 different fonts for that part. Then I tore the paper between each verse. I tea stained them, let them dry, then decoupaged them randomly to a medium sized, white faux pumpkin.

I printed a few lines and words (like "Nevermore" and "Poe") in different fonts, and larger sizes that I added to the pumpkin after I had glued all the verses on.

I also printed out several different images of ravens, a clock at midnight, and a portrait of Poe and added those.

And that was about it.

Of course, what's a Raven pumpkin without a raven perched on top? If you'd like to read the poem or some of his other works, click here.
